Indian debut for Swissotel

Swissotel Hotels & Resorts is to open in India for the first time, with a management contract having been signed with Bengal Ambuja Housing Development (BAHDL) for a hotel in Kolkata.
Due to open towards the end of this year in the city's Rajarhat area, the new hotel will be part of the City Centre - New Town development, which incorporates shops, restaurants and a multiplex cinema. It will have 147 rooms; three restaurants - including a speciality restaurant and an open-air restaurant; a lobby bar and a pool bar; with facilities including conference rooms, a fitness centre and a rooftop swimming pool.
BAHDL belongs to the Neotia family and focuses on real estate business, the construction and operation of shopping malls, housing, commercial space and the hotel industry.
