The Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) will be offering advice on the provision of inclusive fitness opportunities at Leisure Industry Week (LIW).
The IFI stand will provide information on the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and the Disability Equality Duty (DED) as well as guidance documents on access, inclusive policies and staff training.
During the last six months, the IFI has launched an Inclusive Fitness Mark accreditation scheme, published stage 2 of the IFI equipment standards, investigated the potential expansion of the scheme to Europe and is working with the National Sports Foundation to progress the scheme, likely to be launched later this year.
The IFI is also preparing for Fit for Inclusion – the Inclusive Fitness National Conference to be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London, in December.
