Hyatt has launched a new global hotel brand portfolio called Andaz, meaning personal style.
The first Andaz will be the Great Eastern Hotel in London, which will be rebranded on completion of its renovation in September.
Plans are also underway for a recently purchased property on Fifth Avenue at 41st Street in New York.
Further plans include Andaz properties in Beijing and Moscow.
Global Hyatt Corporation CEO Mark Hoplamazian said: “Our launch of Andaz is based on demand expressed by both consumers and developers for a product and experience that they have not found within the industry. This worldwide customer base is looking for fresh, uncomplicated luxury that is timeless and gimmick free.”
The brand will feature environmentally friendly practices and organic food and beverage.
