Hospitality industry well-represented in New Year Honours List

Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) founder Michael Hardman and chair of EnjoyEngland Hugh Taylor are among those awarded in the New Year Honours List.
Michael Hardman was given an MBE and Taylor, who is also chief executive of Hilmar Hotel Management, was awarded an OBE for his service tourist and hospitality industries.
Other recipents from the hospitality and tourism industries include Kumar Muthalagappan, managing director of Pearl Hotels and Restaurants Group, who received an OBE. Kumar also sits on the VisitBritain board with Taylor.
Jonathan Adnams, executive chair of brewer and pub operator Adnams, was also made an OBE for services to corporate social responsibility.
MBE awards were also given to chair of the Guild of Bangladeshi Restauranteurs, Enam Ali for his contribution to the hospitality industry.
Francisca Knowles, human resources director at operator Interpub, received an honorary MBE for services to skills and training in the hospitality industry.
