Gulf Group launched to target Middle East attractions operators
Attractions operators in the Middle East can now have all their service needs met by one group, following the launch of The Gulf Group.
Based in Dubai, Gulf is an amalgamation of service providers Scenic Route, Electrosonic, Paragon Creative, Larson, Nature Maker and Equinox, all of which are members of TEA Europe (Themed Entertainment Association).
Each company will manage its own projects separately but, by coming together, can share costs and facilities. Gulf has an office and workshop in Dubai and 10 common staff who represent each of the individual companies.
Transport and accommodation is also shared. Working in this way removes the cost of individual LLCs but gives the company a strong presence.
Each company has different skills so there’s no crossover of trades and the group can offer an all-round high quality service, either individually or together, to operators in Dubai.
Mark Pyrah, sales and marketing director of Scenic Route and Paragon Creative, said: “Scenic Route has already worked with Electrosonic for 20 years and has worked regularly with the other companies involved.
“This makes it easy to sell on the additional services as we already have a working knowledge of each other.”
As director of TEA Europe, Pyrah went on to say: “Gulf gives us a really good TEA base in the Middle East, which falls under the TEA Europe remit. We hope our presence will enable us to build up TEA members in this area and other supply-based companies wanting a cost effective base in the UA.”
