GLL completes training scheme
Fourteen recently qualified recreation assistants have gone on to paid work and a career in leisure in GLL run leisure centres within the M25 area – thanks to a government funded training scheme.
The apprentices have all successfully completed the Recreation Assistant Apprenticeship - run by charitable social enterprise GLL in partnership with Greenwich Community College and the London Leisure College.
The apprentices each undertook a five-month intensive training scheme to achieve the following qualifications: Level 2 Modern Apprenticeship, including NVQ Operational Services Level 2, Key Skills in Communication and Numeracy Level 1, NPLQ certificate, and First Aid at Work certificate.
