FIA to launch ‘go’ to get teenage girls active
The Fitness Industry Association (FIA) is to target teenage girls with ‘go’, a new government-funded programme designed specifically for girls aged 15 and 16 years old.
Designed to change teenage girls’ attitudes towards physical activity, go includes exercise classes such as body combat and street dance.
The programme is an extension of Adopt a School and the FIA expects 50 health clubs/leisure centres to pilot the scheme in September.
