Colwick set for new £100,000 play area

Work has started on the construction of a new £100,000 play area at Colwick Rectory Recreation Ground in Colwick, Nottinghamshire.
The facility, which has been designed using ideas put forward by local young people, will include a basket swing, a roundabout, a play shop and toadstool seating. Wicksteed is set to provide the equipment. Funding for the project has been provided by Gedling Homes' Public Realms fund, which was released when Gedling Borough Council's housing stock was transferred to the agency in 2008.
