Cinq Mondes for Beau-Rivage Palace
A US$9.2m (7.7m euro, £5.3m) Cinq Mondes-branded spa has opened within the luxury Beau-Rivage Palace hotel in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Designed by Parisien company Western Design, the new Cinq Mondes spa covers 1,500sq m (16,100sq ft) and has nine treatment rooms, including six available for either one or two people.
There are also two 30sq m (320sq ft) Suite Pluie de Fluers with a Japanese baths and one 60sq m (645sq ft) Suite de Félicité à Deux VIP spa room with a Japanese bath, a private hammam and garden.
Further facilities include two changing rooms with a hammam, a sauna, a health and fitness area, a 15m (50ft) indoor pool, a 20m (65ft) outdoor pool and two tennis courts.
The treatment menu at the Cinq Mondes combines therapies from around the world, with benchmarks of authenticity and ceremony. Specialist forms of massage include Shiatsu, Ayurvedic, Taoist, Balinese and the Japanese bath, featuring aromas and flowers.
The only product used at the spa is called Cinq Mondes Spa, which derives all of its cosmetic preparations from ancestral formulas and has been developed under strict guidelines including dermatological control tests and the banning of silicone, mineral oils, artificial colouring and animal-based ingredients.
The new facility is the sixth Cinq Mondes-branded spa in the world with other Cinq Mondes sites in cities including Marrakech and Monaco. Details: www.cinqmondes.com
