Cash plan for Leicester City Football Club
Gary Lineker has outlined the blueprint of a consortium which aims to buy cash-strapped Leicester City football club from the administrators.
The former player said he was one of a 'number of people' involved in a consortium bidding to salvage the club, which went into administration on Tuesday 22 October.
Lineker confirmed that he, along with fellow consortium members would be investing various sums of money, but that he will not be a member of the board. However, he stressed that they were still looking for further investors to join them in their quest to purchase the club: 'Our hope is to get people involved who are local to the area. This is not about one person and it is not about an ego trip.' Details: www.lcfc.com
