Borgata unveils first phase of US$325m development

Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, US – a joint venture between Boyd Gaming and MGM Mirage – has unveiled the first phase of a new US$325m (£186m, 273m euro) hotel called The Water Club at Borgata.
The US$200m (£108m ,158m euro) first phase incorporates an additional 36,000sq ft (3300sq m) of casino floor space, including an 83-table Poker room and a 90-seat online Racebook facility.
Dining options now comprise three restaurants – Bobby Flay Steak, Wolfgang Puck American Grille and Seablue – as well as three cafés – Lettuce Head, MiniBar and Bread and Butter.
The hotel is due to be completed in the latter half of 2007.
