Board changes at Nuffield Health
Healthcare trading charity Nuffield Health has appointed a new chair and four new governors.
Michael Smith, a governor since 2003, has taken over as chair from Douglas Gardner, who stepped down from the role last week.
Four new governors have also been appointed to the board of governors, which oversees the running of the charity. The new governors are Guy McCracken, Neil McCausland, Fiona Driscoll and Russell Hardy. The quartet will join the board in January 2010.
David Mobbs, group chief executive of Nuffield Health, said: "Douglas and the current board have done a sterling job working with us to ensure that Nuffield Health not only has a clear strategy but is financially robust and in a position to emerge with strength from the recession."
