Children's fitness equipment supplier ZigZag’s programming arm, Activ Kids, is launching a child behaviour management course.
The one day course identifies seven behaviour and learning theories that will help teachers and instructors understand behaviour changes when working with children, as well as identify considerations for delivering programmes.
The training will aim to clarify why children behave in certain ways at certain ages, how children learn and how to adapt this knowledge when delivering activity programming for children.
The workshops also cover child management strategies including discipline procedures, verbal and non-verbal cues and behaviour management, to help teachers and instructors run safe, successful and enjoyable activity classes for children.
James Porter, founder of Activ Kids said: “This workshop is ideal for anyone working with children, such as fitness instructors or sports coaches. It will help them feel confident in leading and directing today’s youth in fun and exciting activities.”
