BCFC president charged in Hong Kong
Birmingham City Football Club (BCFC) president Carson Yeung has reportedly appeared in court in Hong Kong, after being charged on five counts of money laundering.
According to the BBC, Yeung was arrested by the narcotic bureau's financial investigations unit over laundering activities worth up to £59m. His trial is adjourned until 11 August. BCFC acting chair Peter Pannu said in a statement: "I have been informed by [Birmingham International Holdings lawyers] that Carson is assisting with enquiries that have nothing to do with the operation of BIHL in Hong Kong and therefore nothing to do with the operation of the club, and relate to other matters."
