QMD Glasgow plans to redevelop BBC Scotland’s headquarters in Glasgow’s west end into a mixed-use redevelopment.
The proposals comprise a hotel, residential apartments and three townhouses created from retained listed buildings and new builds.
The 85-bedroom hotel – sited on an urban riverside setting overlooking the botanic gardens – will include leisure facilities.
Director Grant Aitken said: “We anticipate exploratory discussions with hotel operators later this year. It is a very high profile site in an area which already boasts One Devonshire Gardens and Grosvenor Hilton, so we will select an operator which can deliver a hotel of the highest quality.”
A detailed planning application has been submitted to Glasgow City Council.
QMD Glasgow is a joint venture between Blackrock International Land, Applecross Properties and Esk Properties.
