Autograph Hotels enters three new markets
Marriott’s upmarket hotel subsidiary, The Autograph Collection, is set to debut in three of the world’s top holiday destinations: Sydney, San Diego and Chicago.
One of the industry’s fastest growing brands, the philosophy behind The Autograph Collection is to offer independent hotel experiences - ranging from a boutique hunting lodge in the Colorado mountains to a palace in Prague – each of which is carefully selected for its character and sense of style and adventure. The aim is to create memories through enriching travel experiences.
Pier One Sydney Harbour, on Sydney’s waterfront and next to the Opera House, is the brand’s first site in Australia and offers easy access to tourist hot spots and the business district.
The 189-bed hotel has a restaurant and bar and eight meeting rooms with floor to ceiling windows offering ocean views. Guests can even arrive by water taxi.
Pier South Resort in San Diego is a beachfront boutique hotel with a typically Californian vibe. Almost all of the 78 suites offer 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean.
It is also home to SEA180º, a contemporary coastal tavern led by Cohn Restaurant Group, operators of some of San Diego’s most popular restaurants. As well as interior-designed décor and sky high glass windows, it has a rooftop space with 360 degree views. Additionally it will also feature a spa by Dames Day Spa.
Formerly the Hotel Sax, the Hotel Chicago in the city’s downtown River North area has joined the collection. In the heart of entertainment, restaurants and nightlife, the hotel features artistic décor and eclectic surroundings. Architectural boat tours and kayaking are also on offer.
