Aston Villa to restore local hotel

Aston Villa is to restore the Holte Hotel, a derelict four-storey Victorian building near the club’s Villa Park ground.
Randy Lerner, Villa’s owner, will be spending a reported £3.4m on structural work, as well as installing a new bar and three multi-purpose rooms.
Alison Plant, head of Business Villa, said: “The new board recognised the importance of such an historic building and the idea was to make the Holte Hotel a focal point at Villa Park once again.”
The structural work began in November and the project should be completed by this May.
