Activity centre planned for Hambleton

A public meeting has taken place to discuss plans for a new outdoor activity centre, which is to be built on the outskirts of Easingwold, North Yorkshire.
Both Hambleton District Council (HDC) and North Yorkshire County Council have committed support and funding for the scheme - 1st Easingwold Scout Group's centenary project. York-based PRA Architects; Thorpe Trees; and Easingwold-based solicitors Burn and Company are involved with plans, which would see the venue used by schools and youth clubs.
Woodland and a grass camping area occupying 4 acres (1.6 hectares) near the south end of the Easingwold bypass have already been secured for £20,000 as part of the scheme.
