$7m community fitness facility opens in Victoria
The Pelican Park Recreation Centre has opened on the Hastings Foreshore, Victoria, Australia.
The AUS$7m centre is managed by the Sport & Leisure Services department, part of the Mornington Peninsula Shire's Recreation and Cultural Facilities department, which is responsible for the management of leisure services throughout the Peninsula .
The centre includes extensive aquatic facilities including a 25m, eight-lane pool, a leisure splash pool and a children’s pool complete with interactive water sprays.
The water filter system includes a filter backwash recycling system, which filters up to 75 per cent of the water.
The centre also has a 400sq m gym equipped with 33 pieces of StairMaster & 38 Pieces of Nautilus kit.
Two studios offer a range of classes and other facilities include child care, a whirlpool and steamroom.
The facility offers silver, gold and platinum memberships ranging from AUS$35 to AUS$49 a month.
