2m euro grant awarded for Slieve League cliffs
A 2m euro (£1.68m) grant has been approved for the development of the Sliabh Liag, or Slieve League, cliffs in Donegal, Republic of Ireland.
The work includes road access improvement, new walking routes, transport at the site and work on the car park.
It is hoped that the funding will turn the cliffs, which overlook the Atlantic Ocean and are among the highest sea cliffs in Europe, into a world class visitor destination.
The Tánaiste, or deputy prime minister, Mary Coughlan, has welcomed the news.
