eGym unveiled its first ever multi-provider, connected, training zone at FIBO 2017.

The training zone embodies eGym’s vision of a ‘gym for everyone’ and is designed to place the member at the heart of a totally connected experience.
Jochen Michaelis, MD eGym UK, says: “FIBO was an excellent show for us. For the first time at an exhibition, we were able to demonstrate what a totally connected fitness environment looks and feels like. Moving forwards this will be the standard in fitness delivery and it was exciting to see the reaction to it from those who gave it a go.”

eGym also introduced a growing portfolio of connected partners including some of the largest manufacturers of cardio equipment in the industry, and showcased a number of new innovations in its training software, including a new Graphic User Interface (GUI) for its strength training equipment.
The GUI adds an element of gamification to the training experience, designed to motivate and inspire the user’s performance.

Michaelis adds: “Our latest offering places gamification at the heart of the user experience. As a user trains on the eGym strength circuit points are automatically accrued, awarded according to variables such as activity, duration and intensity.”
