IHRSA launches annual green survey

The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) has launched its third Annual Green Survey, which charts the fitness industry's opinions and practices regarding the environment.
The survey gathers insight into the opinions and practices of health club operators around environmental sustainability and its associated business implications.
Based on survey results in 2010, popular initiatives among club operators include recycling, energy efficiency, green cleaning supplies, and water conservation.
Further opportunities - and space for improvement - exist in the areas of green building/renovations and green equipment purchasing. IHRSA figures show that less than 15 per cent of responding clubs indicated placing a high priority on such efforts.
Clubs have until 30 September to take part in the survey. All respondents who complete this survey will receive full survey results, which will provide insight into industry trends, best practices, and business opportunities. Click here to take part.
