Hatton Boxing is piloting its first ever in-gym boxing zone – a 592sq ft (55sq m) studio space at Premier Gym in Coalville, Leicestershire.

The boxing training, education and equipment brand, which was launched by four-time World Champion Ricky Hatton, has installed bags, pads and gloves from its Pride in Battle equipment range at the studio.

All Premier Gym staff will be trained through the Hatton Academy, a multi-level ‘boxing for fitness’ programme and the only one to be accredited by both REPs and the British Boxing Board of Control.

 The three-tier course is designed to provide instructors with the technical boxing knowledge to incorporate boxing skills into any fitness training programme, from beginner to advanced.

 New custom-branded wall art has been installed in the studio, incorporating motivational quotes and action shots.

Hatton Boxing equipment, accessories and clothing are also available to buy.

 Rob Thurston, Premier Gym director, said: “We’re always looking at new ways to keep our members engaged and boxing is one of the toughest workouts and a great way to get fit, so the opportunity to collaborate with Hatton Boxing was one that we were keen to explore.

 “The quality of the equipment and the training delivered by Hatton Academy is second-to-none and the new training zone is a fantastic addition to Premier Gym.”

The Hatton Boxing Zone could be the first of many to be introduced outside of Hatton Health and Fitness, in Hyde, Cheshire.

A two weight world champion in a 48-fight career, Hatton won the WBA (Super), IBF, IBO light-welterweight titles and the WBA welterweight title during his career.
