Elevate:Tackling physical activity
Elevate is the UK’s first trade event bringing together academia, healthcare, government, the physical activity sector and performance experts to focus on an increasingly important and complex societal challenge: turning the tide on inactivity.
Taking place at Olympia London, 4 and 5 May 2016, Elevate will explore the ways in which exercise, health and performance connect.
Over the course of this two-day event, 4,000 expected attendees will benefit from a free information programme boasting more than 100 speakers with a range expertise connected to exercise, health and performance.
Organisations represented include: Public Health England, ISEH, Sport and Recreation Alliance, TFL, London Sport, Sheffield Hallam University, EIS, Nuffield Health, Technogym, National Trust and GlaxoSmithKline Human Performance Lab.
The seminars, exhibition, attractions and feature areas will provide those best placed to tackle inactivity with an important opportunity to debate cross-sector issues, share ideas and learn more about how exercise, health and performance connect.
Hosting a broad range of perspectives on the social, economic and political challenges and the associated commercial opportunities, Elevate includes:
· 150 leading organisations forming a focused exhibition
· 100 speakers participating across three seminar streams · Over 25 free-to-attend seminar sessions
· Two inspiring attractions and practical demonstrations · Seven feature areas presenting innovative products and solutions

“The importance of the event, Elevate, is to bring together the fitness industry, the technology industry, the healthcare sector and the really important people - who are the practitioners who promote physical activity - and give them a sound bed of evidence to take away and use in their everyday lives. New equipment, new ideas, new energy.” Prof. Charlie Foster, World Health Organisation and Oxford University.
