Brass Monkey becomes readiness and recovery partner to Everlast Gyms+ Trafford Palazzo

14 Apr 2026
Three Brass Monkey ice bath units are located within the gym's dedicated recovery zone / Brass Monkey/ Everlast Gyms+

Brass Monkey, the cold water immersion company created to address the growing gap in modern readiness and recovery culture in performance environments, has partnered with Everlast Gyms+ at Trafford Palazzo - one of the North West's most anticipated new fitness destinations.

Three Brass Monkey ice bath units, each calibrated to a different temperature, are now live within the gym's dedicated recovery zone, sitting alongside dry and herbal saunas to create what the site's General Manager, Sebastian Nelson, describes as a fully integrated "wellness ecosystem”.

The partnership reflects a broader shift in how commercial gym operators are thinking about member value - and how Everlast Gyms+ is positioning readiness and recovery not as an add-on, but as central to its flagship site identity.

Everlast Gyms+ Trafford Palazzo is already an official HYROX Performance Center, designed around next-level equipment, immersive training areas and expert coaching. The addition of Brass Monkey's cold water immersion systems extends that performance-first proposition into readiness and recovery - allowing members to prep, train hard, and recover under one roof.

Since the ice baths went live, demand has exceeded all initial expectations. Members are now scheduling their gym visits around their recovery sessions, with first-time users consistently reporting an immediate sense of accomplishment, elevated mood, and what many describe as an instant "buzz”.

Sebastian Nelson, General Manager of Everlast Gyms+ Trafford Palazzo, said: "The reaction from members has been incredible - and it hasn't been one particular type of member. It's a completely mixed bag of people, from casual gym-goers to high-performance athletes, all drawn to the same thing: feeling better and performing better day to day. People used to join a gym to look good. Now they want to feel good, and the recovery piece is a huge part of that.

"We're already seeing members choose this site specifically because we offer full water submersion and a recovery area all under one roof. Offering these facilities is now part of Everlast's DNA for their flagship sites - and I'd recommend cold water submersion to any gym operator without hesitation."

For Everlast Gyms+ Trafford Palazzo, the decision to partner with Brass Monkey came down to more than the hardware. Sebastian Nelson cited Brass Monkey's onboarding and ongoing support as categorically ahead of other equipment providers. A comprehensive half-day training session covered not just maintenance and operations, but also how to talk to members about cold water immersion and its benefits. Daily upkeep of the three units takes around ninety minutes in total, with processes described as simple and straightforward.

"The support has been absolutely amazing," said Sebastian Nelson. "What Brass Monkey offers is a full, encompassing package - not just the kit. When my team had questions, there was always someone at the end of the phone or email. Compare that to other providers, and it's not close."

Danyl Bosomworth, Founder of Brass Monkey, said: "Everlast Gyms+ Trafford Palazzo is exactly the kind of environment our systems are built for; high footfall, performance-focused members, and an operator that takes recovery seriously. What Sebastian and the team have built there is a genuine wellness ecosystem, and it's brilliant to see demand for cold water immersion skyrocket from day one. This is what happens when recovery is treated as a first-class part of the member experience, not an afterthought."

Plans for the next 12 months
We regularly introduce new technological advancements to our commercial ice baths, with a specific emphasis on aesthetics.

Lighting and sound are two areas we are currently exploring.

Our latest products are poised to be trialled in increasingly high-use environments, enabling us to refine their implementation in both freestanding and fully integrated units.

We are currently celebrating installations at Arc (Canary Wharf) and the commencement of a new partnership with Gymbox, Finsbury Park.
