Serco chooses CET Cryospas for ice bath installation at Bangor Aurora Aquatic and Leisure Complex

The new CryoSpa Sport at Bangor Aurora can accommodate up to four athletes at any one time / CET / Serco
Ards and North Down Council in partnership with Serco wished to develop world class recovery facilities for the athletes to use as part of their training. As market leaders in elite sport recovery, and with a stronghold across UK & Ireland, CET were the obvious choice. CET’s CryoSpa Sport Ice Bath is currently used by more than 50 elite sporting organisations worldwide, including the Allianz Arena, Wimbledon Tennis Championships and the British Olympic Association.
The new CryoSpa Sport at Bangor Aurora can accommodate up to four athletes at any one time, providing a whole squad of swimmers quick access to important recovery sessions.
The temperature of each bath can be individually controlled down to 1°C . Massage jets also deliver an instant added cooling effect which allows users with varying preferences to be accommodated in the same bath.
Serco hope to develop a booking system for the ice baths, which will also allow members to benefit from the significant wellness benefits of cold water immersion alongside the athletes.
