Physical is delighted to announce that, following a tender process, it has extended its contract with Glasgow Life for a further three years, as one of the leisure trust’s chosen suppliers of functional and studio accessories, strength accessories, rigs and flooring.

The inclusion of strength accessories – dumbbells, plates and lifting platforms – is an extension of Physical’s previous remit, with the leisure trust splitting these items out of the main strength category tender.

“We are proud and delighted to have re-secured this prestigious Scottish contract, which we believe is testament not only to the premium quality of our products, but also to the powerful relationships we build with our customers,” says Physical account manager Paul Farrell. “Over the years of working together, we’ve shown that geography need never stand in the way of responsiveness and high standards of service, with great in-person relationships built with Glasgow Life across the breadth of our team, from myself in sales all the way through to our expert installers.”

“Whenever we have a request, Physical is always so fast to respond. Distance has never been a problem,” confirms Sharon Campbell, Health, Fitness & Infrastructure Manager for Glasgow Life. “Paul may be based in the south-west of England, but the service he provides makes it feel as though he’s on our doorstep.

“It means we’re able to move projects forward quickly, meeting the deadlines of our busy trust which currently has 15 venues open and constantly being worked on.”

Farrell adds: “During the previous contract period, Physical worked with Glasgow Life to create some unique experiences within its facilities, including designing and building bespoke rigs for new concept group HIIT rooms and installing such durable custom turf that it will not need to be included in the standard refurbishment cycle this time.

“We also kitted out a strength and conditioning facility rented from Glasgow Life by rugby team Glasgow Warriors – further proof of the premium quality and durability of our extensive product range.

“We very much look forward to partnering with the Glasgow Life team on everything from refurbishments to rolling out successful concepts over the next three years.”
