£2.7m Wednesbury complex officially opens
Pulse has confirmed that a major new £2.7m sports and fitness development - Pulse Soccer and Fitness - has officially opened to the public in Wednesbury, West Midlands.
The venue features eight 3G five-a-side football pitches; a 60m x 40m coaching arena; a 55-station fitness suite; and team and fitness changing facilities, as well as a sports café bar and dance studio. Delivered by in-house Pulse contractors, the complex will provide an income share to Phoenix Colliegate school as part of a 30-year joint initiative with Pulse.
Ben Redfern, director of sport at the school, said: "This remarkable complex is a great resource for our students and the wider community; we are already reaping the benefits of this joint venture with Pulse. "Previously we had very little to engage our students towards a healthier and fitter lifestyle. We definitely have a good mix of the latest sports and fitness activities now."
Pulse managing director Chris Johnson added: "This latest business model shows how we can work with Public Sector partners to create leisure facilities that are beneficial for entire communities that are not only self-financed, but fully self-sufficient income generating business units."
