£100,000 renovation for Chard swimming pool

Somerset Leisure Trust (SLT) has announced plans to carry out a £100,000 upgrade of the swimming pool at Cresta Leisure Centre in Chard.
The operator has secured half of the funding from the Amateur Swimming Association and will provide the remaining balance itself. Proposals include the installation of new changing rooms and reception areas, as well as the provision of energy-efficient lighting in the pool hall.
The swimming pool will close on 28 March in order to allow work to take place, which will take around four-to-five weeks to complete.
