Zone Match group exercise from Myzone
Myzone fitness tracking has released Zone Match group exercise class for the gym floor.
The group program, which uses the idea of gamification, lets users follow pre-set training profiles and match their training efforts with the intensities on the screen.
At the end of the class users get a percentage score of their match to the training profiles. The pre-programmed classes are designed to be simple for operators to use and the percentage score lets users compete with others in striving for progress.
The concept of ‘gamification’ is the use of game thinking and game logic in a non-game context to engage users of any type, in this case – physical activity.
Also new is the Myzone 2.0 hardware solution, designed to help operators integrate feedback zones for both Zone Match classes and other activities easily.
It requires an HDMI compatible Myzone box and the software is wirelessly controlled via smart phones and tablets for a flexible and easy-to-use engagement tool.
Dave Wright, CEO of CFM and creator of Myzone said: “Zone Match brings unprecedented engagement easily onto the cardio floor with or without instructors. If you have personal viewing screens it’s easy to have Myzone as a channel rhat enables Zone Match to work irrespective of the location of the cardio equipment involved. The Myzone license enables a club to run as many Zone Match classes per week as they wish.”
