Wellness screening at the Pavilion
The Pavilion leisure centre in Bromley will open its new Wellness Room this month.
The room, which is part of the Pavilion's plan to expand its wellbeing services and take a more holistic approach to health and fitness, is fitted with Fitech software also used by BUPA.
The Wellness Room will offer members a complete wellbeing and lifestyle review in a face to face screening session. For between £10 and £40, members can get basic checks of their blood pressure, general lifestyle and weight or more complex assessments of their cholesterol levels, blood, urine and nutritional balance.
The service will also assess stress levels, offer stress management advice and give members the services of a motivational counsellor to help them stick to their chosen exercise plan.
Managed by DC Leisure, the Pavilion also has a gym, two swimming pools and spa facilities. Total wellness has become an important feature of peoples lives, said DC Leisure's health and fitness manager, Howard Braband. Its not just about exercise and fitness, but about overall benefits to the mind and body.
