Luxury French beauty brand Guerlain has announced a raft of partnerships and exclusive treatments at locations in New York, Monaco, France and London.

In New York, Guerlain is returning to the 375-key Waldorf Astoria New York where it will reopen this quarter after an eight-year revamp. The spa is due to open at the end of Q this year.

The 2,787sq m Guerlain Wellness Spa will be the largest of all Guerlain’s spas and it will be managed by Trilogy Spa Holdings. Trilogy operated the Guerlain spa at the property from 2011 until the re-modelling began in 2017.

Undertaken by interior design firm Wimberly Interiors, the re-designed space will feature contemporary styling, blended with Art Deco and Parisian influences in line with the style of the French cosmetics brand.

In the heart of Manhattan, the spa will be on the hotel’s fourth floor, with 16 treatment rooms (including two VIP double suites). There will also be an expansive fitness centre. On the ground floor, Guerlain will have two boutiques offering skincare, fragrance and make-up.

The 372 Waldorf Astoria Residences New York – located in storeys above the hotel – will offer exclusive ‘at-home’ spa experiences curated by a dedicated wellness concierge and with access to a wellness area separate from the hotel spa with a 25-metre pool, dedicated fitness centre and two treatment rooms for Guerlain treatments.

All treatment beds at the property will be by Gharieni.

Hotel Métropole Monte Carlo

Following a five-month renovation, the Hotel Métropole Monte Carlo in Monaco has re-opened and its new Spa Métropole by Guerlain will launch in a few months. The spa was previously Givenchy and ESPA.

Designed by Sami Itani of the Itani and Courtois design agency, the spa will feature clean lines and draw on a mineral aesthetic that combines stone, raw wood and textured finishes. It will have ten treatment rooms and offer Guerlain treatments exclusive to the property, tailored options for men, sensory experiences for children and rituals for couples.

There will also be bespoke beauty services offered in collaboration with the Art of Guerlain Make-up.

The spa will have a sauna, hammam and fitness studio and also offer manicures and pedicures by French luxury pedicure brand Bastien Gonzalez.

La Bastide de Gordes

Seasonal hotel Airelles Gordes – in the 16th Century French palace, La Bastide de Gordes – has partnered with Guerlain for the season, which runs between April and October.

Guests of the 40-key property on a hilltop above the village of Gordes in Provence have access to the Airelles Spa by Guerlain, where Guerlain has created three exclusive treatments:

• Talisman de beauté – a 1.5-hour facial treatment using black orchid extracts in combination with massage using black obsidian stone

• L’heure d’or – a 1.5-hour anti-ageing facial using a citrine quartz gua sha for oxygenation, detoxification and sculpting.• Le joyau de la bastide – a 1.5-hour face and body treatment that incorporates elements of local olive trees as massage tools alongside an exfoliation treatment using clay and honey.

Inspired by Provençal abbeys, the existing spa has four treatment rooms – including a double suite – a steam room, sauna, pool, relaxation room and fitness centre. It is one of the only two Forbes Travel Guide five-star spas in France.

The Airelle Group took over management of the property in 2015 and VLF Spa Consulting has been working on the hotel collection’s spas for the past two years.

There is also an Airelles Spa by Guerlain at the Airelles hotel in the French Alps at Airelles Val d’Isere.

Cheval Blanc St-Tropez: Longeviskin

Cheval Blanc St-Tropez, in France, is the first property to launch new technology by Guerlain for Q2 and Q3, called Longeviskin, which combines radiofrequency, plasma, cryotherapy, micropeeling, LED and micro-current treatments for both the face and body.

The patent pending treatment has been designed to address concerns such as anti-ageing, detoxification, drainage and is claimed to deliver radiance, slimming and firming.

At Cheval Blanc St-Tropez, Longeviskin is used to deliver a 1.5-hour treatment, called Ultimate Longevity, which plumps, firms and 'restores radiance'. The treatment costs €390 (US$441, £329).

Read more about Cheval Blanc’s long term relationship with Guerlain in the latest edition of Spa Business magazine.

Raffles London at the OWO

The Guerlain Spa at Raffles London at The OWO is now offering three bespoke spa day experiences with high price tags in the heart of London, UK. These are the first spa days on offer at the property since Guerlain launched at the spa in 2023.

• The tailor-made spa day for one costs £1,095 (US$1,470, €1,300). It includes two hours of relaxation at the facilities, a healthy juice drink, a consultation and two-hour treatment with Guerlain products and a two-course lunch. Later on, there is a fragrance consultation at the property’s L’Atelier Guerlain where a 100ml bottle is engraved for guests as a keepsake. The day ends with a blow-dry – or hair cut for men – with a glass of champagne.

• The spa escape for two people costs £1,050 (US$1,409, €1,246). It includes two hours of relaxation, a glass of champagne each, a 75-minute facial in a shared spa suite – which has its own lounge area and private hot tub. Guests will end the day with afternoon tea in the hotel’s drawing room, with pastries made by the Raffles London team.

• Designed for younger guests between 13 and 17, the Petite Guerlain half-day experience costs £465 (US$552, €552). These guests will visit L’Atelier Guerlain to experience the skincare, beauty and fragrance products on offer and receive an engraved bottle of fragrance. The teenagers will also receive a skin treatment suitable for delicate skin, followed by a make-up masterclass and the day will conclude with a cream tea.

Debbie Lowry, director of wellbeing at Raffles London at The OWO, told Spa Business exclusively, “After a great demand from both hotel guests and day visitors alike, we are thrilled to be offering our new spa-day offerings for those who would like to enjoy our Guerlain Spa for an elevated multi-touch day experience.

When asked who the spa is targeting with this high end offering, Lowry continued, “Much of our business results from word-of-mouth recommendations, repeat spa visitors and also via our Pillar Wellbeing at The OWO membership and The OWO Residences community. Our PR agency will also be targeting luxury media and tastemakers to help promote these new spa days to our target audience."
