Tony de Leede, the founder of Fitness First Australia, has announced that he is stepping down from his CEO role after eight years, during which time he has spearheaded the chain’s growth to 83 clubs nationally.
He is succeeded as CEO by Peter Stirling Benson, previously CEO of Ticketek, Australia’s largest sports and entertainment ticketing company. De Leede will stay on as chair of the Australian group and on the Fitness First Global Board.
