Strata continues rollout in 2007
Strata Partners has announced plans to continue to grow both its owned and franchised clubs this year, with two projects already underway and a total of 10 new clubs to open this year.
Presale has started on a US$3m (£1.5m) franchised club in Tumen, Russia, which will be a 1,000sq m (10,765sq ft) facility equipped by Stex, Paramount and RevMaster.
Designed by Alex Fund, it will feature two group exercise studios, a spa/salon, a kids’ club, solarium and bar.
Meanwhile, work is underway on a new Orange Fitness club in Ekaterinburg.
The 1,500sq m (16,145sq ft) facility offers resistance equipment from GYM 80 and cardiovascular kit from Life Fitness, a swimming pool and hydro massage system, exercise studios, a spa/salon, a children’s club and a solarium.
Future plans focus on developing the chain in Chelyabinsk, Perm, Tver, Moscow and St Petersburg, which will see three new clubs open this year.
In the long term, plans are afoot to open a total of 60 new Strata clubs by 2010, in partnership with the investment fund GIMV.
