Stockton leisure facility to be revamped
By Pete Hayman
Stockton Borough Council has approved plans for a £2.5m extension of the town's Splash leisure facility.
Work is expected to begin on the project in November, following the council's planning committee decision, and will take a year to complete. The extension will see the capacity doubled at the centre's Activ8 fitness suite, which features Technogym cardiovascular and weight stations, as well as the provision of changing facilities and a large multi-use activity space incorporating two badminton courts. A revamped foyer and cafe area are also among the plans. Splash currently boasts a 25m swimming pool, which will remain open throughout the extension work.Stockton Borough Council has approved plans for a £2.5m extension of the town's Splash leisure facility.
