Sport and Leisure group open twelfth site in Duiven
Dutch operator, the Sports and Leisure Group, has opened its 12th site with 800 pre-sold members.
The Capital Sports Centre in Duiven was been launched after considerable market research, which found there was strong demand among the inhabitants of Duiven for a multi-functional sports centre with a swimming pool.
Facilities at the 2,000sq m club includes a gym, exercise studios and a swimming pool with moveable floor, sauna, whirlpool, sunbeds and childcare facilities.
As with every other Sports and Leisure Group centre, the club also includes a quality food and beverage area and a range of wellness services such as massage and physiotherapy.
The club also has a group cycling studio, an activity which enjoys huge popularity in The Netherlands, says CEO and founder of the group, Theo Hendriks. “I brought group cycling to Holland after seeing it at the 1993 IHRSA convention. I was so impressed, I had to buy it immediately.”
“Members can choose from a range of memberships at the new club,” says Hendriks. “The Dutch don’t like to pay for facilities they don’t use. So they can choose from gold, silver and bronze memberships.” Fees vary from 31 to 49 Euros a month.
