Snow boosts Scottish winter sport season

Nearly 15,000 skiers and snowboarders visited winter sports centres across Scotland during the New Year Bank Holiday weekend, according to new figures.
Each of the country's five mountain ski areas are encouraging both domestic and overseas tourists to take advantage of continuing wintry weather conditions. Scottish sports minister Shona Robison said: "This year's winter sports season has got off to a terrific early start and is already shaping up to be a record-breaker."
