Seven Peaks has expanded its portfolio of waterparks to four after announcing the purchase of Splash Down Dunes Water Park in Indiana, US - its second acquisition in a month.
The group now owns and operates seven venues across Utah, Missouri and Indiana - such as Seven Peaks Waterpark Provo and Seven Peaks Waterpark Salt Lake, two of Utah's largest.
A wave pool, a lazy river and four speed slides are included among the experiences at Splash Down Dunes Water Park, which will be renamed Seven Peaks Waterpark Porter.
The waterpark was closed by its previous owner in 2009 but will now undergo improvements with a view to reopening in summer 2013. It will also be given a new theme.
Seven Peaks CEO Gary Brinton said: "We are excited about the acquisition of our Porter Indiana location and the chance to reopen the water park for guests throughout the tri-state area.
"Seven Peaks Waterpark Porter is our second theme park acquisition in a month-having most recently purchased a combination water park and fun centre in Poplar Bluff, Missouri."
