SLM to operate Plymouth leisure facilities

Sports and Leisure Management (SLM) is in line to take over responsibility for the running of leisure facilities owned by Plymouth City Council (PCC).
Members of the council's cabinet agreed to award the leisure management contract to SLM, which recently secured three other deals in North Dorset; Basildon; and the London Borough of Sutton. Among the PCC-owned facilities to be operated by SLM is Plympton Swimming Pool and Tinside Lido, as well as Brickfields Sports Centre and Brickfields Recreation Ground.
SLM will also operate the Mayflower Leisure Centre, which is to close upon completion of the new Plymouth Life Centre - another facility that forms part of the deal.
