Rezidor expands portfolio
The Rezidor Hotel Group has expanded its portfolio to include three new countries.
Later this year, the 142-bedroom Radisson Blu Hotel Lusaka will open in the capital city of Zambia, adjacent to the Mulungushi International Conference Centre and across the road from the Arcades Shopping and Entertainment Complex.
Facilities will include a swimming pool with a bar and a sundeck, wellness facilities, a signature Rezidor restaurant and a bar, a ballroom and a casino, as well as five conference and meeting rooms.
Opening in 2011, the 210-bedroom Radisson Blu Hotel Skopje will open in Macedonia as part of a mixed-use development, which will include a shopping centre and offices.
The hotel will have two restaurants and a bar, a wellness spa area and more than 700sq m (7,530 sq ft) of conferencing and banqueting space.
The 257-bedroom Radisson Blu Hotel Luanda will be located on the beachfront in the central business district of Ilha de Luanda, Angola, when it opens in 2012.
The property will include a swimming pool, a spa and fitness centre, several restaurants with outdoor terraces, and more than 1,000 sq m (10,760sq ft) of meeting space.
“We are especially proud to add two countries on the African continent to our business. Rezidor is currently featuring 25 hotels with almost 6,000 rooms in operation and under development in Africa — this emerging region is one of our most important development areas,” said CEO Kurt Ritter.
