Revamp planned for Tiger Safari
A master plan for the revamp of Tiger Safari, a zoo in Ludhiana, India, has been submitted.
According to the Indian Express, the Rs 2 crore (US$427,000, £262,200, euro 260,500) plans involve building crocodile, snake and leopard enclosures as well as a butterfly garden.
The zoo will also spend Rs 100,000 on adopting animals such as deer and birds and is seeking corporate sponsorship in order to adopt more tigers.
The Forest Department, which operates the zoo, also plans to introduce an entrance fee to help add revenue.
