Restaurant destroyed by fire still makes award shortlist

Despite having been destroyed in a fire last November, the Pied á Terre restaurant on Charlotte Street has been shortlisted in the French Restaurant of the Year category of the Tio Pepe ITV London Restaurant Awards 2005.
Chair of the judging panel, Fay Maschler, said that judging for the awards took place in 2004 and the restaurant was so impressive the shortlist would not be complete without it.
Jockey, Frankie Dettori, has also received a nomination for Frankie’s Italian Bar and Grill, his collaboration with Marco Pierre White.
The venue is up for the Outstanding Front of House Team award and faces competition from Marcus Wareing and his Savoy Grill and Angela Hartnett for Menu at the Connaught.
