Play facility for Wheelgate Park
An Egyptian-themed indoor play facility will open at Wheelgate Family Adventure Park - formerly Wonderland Pleasure Park - in Farnsfield, Newark, on 18 July.
Pharaohs Funderdrome will feature 16,000sq ft (1,486sq m) of slides and play equipment, including six-lane, six-wave astra slides, dropslides, triple drop and tube slides, tower climbs, multi-swings, secret mazes, ball pools, roller waves and rope bridges, as well as an interactive toddlers zone.
Owner Mike Bendall said: "It is essential to offer families an all-weather experience - the new building will offer national standard play equipment ensuring the whole family experiences a truly matchless and thrilling environment.
"Our play equipment is unique as it enables the whole family to play together; parents can join in and interact as children use their own skills and abilities. After all, we all want to have a go, it's not so much fun when you're standing on the outside watching!"
Brothers Mike, Chris and Phil Bendall have invested £2m on improvements to the pleasure park since purchasing the business in September 2007.
The trio also own Woodlands Family Theme Park in Blackawton, Devon, and Twinlakes Family Theme Park in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
