Oxford swimming pool report delayed
Oxford City Council (OCC) has delayed a decision on the future of the Temple Cowley Pools after issues were raised over the cost and affordability of redevelopment proposals.
A draft report into a feasibility study prepared by consultants Mace had been due to be considered by OCC's value and performance scrutiny committee on 6 July and executive board on 12 July. However, an OCC spokesperson said: "In the context of the challenging financial circumstances that we find ourselves in, it is vital that cost and affordability issues are clear.
"Only then can officers properly advise councillors on the affordability and risks of the options and place this in the overall context of the council's capital programme and budget."
