The International Ecotourism Society (IES) has released new information about US travellers.
According to the hospitality website ehotelier.com, a recent IES survey showed that more than two thirds of participants would consider “active protection of the environment, including support of local communities” to be part of a hotel or resort’s responsibility.
A total of 70 per cent of those surveyed would also pay a premium to stay in accommodation which had a “responsible environmental attitude”.
