New sports hall opens at Peckham centre

Southwark Council has unveiled a new sports hall at the Damilola Taylor Centre in Peckham, South London.
The centre is one of 30 youth clubs located across the borough, with more than 550 young people using the facilities each week for a range of team sports. More than £100,000 in grant funding was secured to help fund the refurbishment of the sports hall, which accommodates basketball, football and badminton.
Catherine MacDonald, the council's cabinet member for children's services, said: "The borough's young people deserve the best quality facilities."
