New play equipment planned for London parks

Hammersmith and Fulham Council (HFC) has unveiled plans to install new play equipment in three of the West London borough's parks.
Fulham's Eel Brook Common and Lillie Road Recreation Ground will benefit as part of the scheme, along with Wendell Park, Shepherd's Bush. Planned improvements will feature slides and multi-play areas; swings and balancing beams; areas for seating; and grassy mounds.
HFC is to invest £200,000 in the scheme, which is being funded by the government and not by local taxpayers.
