New health and fitness suite for Rushcliffe Arena

A newly renovated expressions Health and Fitness suite opened at a Nottingham leisure centre last week.
The £80,000 refurbishment work on the project at Rushcliffe Arena, managed by Parkwood Leisure, took six weeks to carry out. The new 50-station health and fitness suite now extends over the entire first floor of the site, with equipment supplied by Precor, LifeFitness and Cybex. The centre's facilities also include a specialist Evergreen Suite which features exercise equipment specifically designed for those unfamiliar with a normal gym environment, particularly senior customers. Existing facilities at Rushcliffe Arena include a snooker hall, indoor adventure play area, and the Little Rascals pre-school. The arena also has an indoor bowls hall, which will close between 15-22 August for the installation of a new carpet. Parkwood's area manager, Andy Knight, said that the project was part of a £500,000 investment by Rushcliffe Borough Council to improve leisure facilities in the area. As well as the health and fitness suite expansion at Rushcliffe Arena, three other sites have undergone similar work recently. Refurbishment to gym facilities at Cotgrave Leisure Centre was also completed last week, while a new health and fitness suite at Keyworth Leisure Centre was opened in June. Parkwood Leisure are currently working on a redevelopment project at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre.
