New gym for Guoman's Charing Cross hotel
Guoman Hotel has invested £250,000 in building a new health club at its Charing Cross hotel as part of a strategy to invest £150m in its London properties over the next three years.
The Precor equipped gym includes cardiovascular machines, plasma screen televisions, stretch mats and a weights area.
The 239-bedroom Victorian Charing Cross hotel also includes nine meeting rooms, a lounge, a restaurant and bar.
Guoman, owned by Brierley Investments which also operates the Thistle Hotels division, plans to also refurbish the grade I-listed Royal Horseguards hotel in Whitehall. The company plans to relaunch two Thistle hotels in London – The Grosvenor and the Thistle Marble Arch – under the Guoman brand as part of the investment scheme.
