New fitness facilities for Wombourne centre

South Staffordshire Council (SSC) has unveiled a new-look spinning studio and toning suite at Wombourne Leisure Centre, following the completion of an £80,000 renovation.
The venue's toning suite originally opened in 1992, but has been relocated as part of the scheme and now features six new Shapemaster toning chairs and three toning beds. Work also included moving the spinning studio to a new location, which has undergone an extensive refurbishment and boasts new lighting and flooring, a new stereo system and new Star Trac spinning cycles.
Both facilities are open to members and non-members on a pay-as-you-go basis or as part of a membership package. SSC deputy leader Joan Williams said: "I am delighted to see that the work on the spinning studio and toning suite is now complete and that we are able to offer the local community with these superb facilities."
